South Park is one of Charlotte’s largest neighborhoods. The area is geographically centered at the intersection of Fairview Road and Sharon Road, about six miles south of Uptown Charlotte. In addition to being home to upscale SouthPark Mall, South Park is also a residential area and one of the largest business districts in Charlotte and the State of North Carolina.
SouthPark Mall houses more than 150 retailers and features many high-end designers and boutiques. Kate Spade, Burberry, Tiffany & Co, Hermès, Kenneth Cole, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Juicy Couture, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Cole Haan, and many others can be found there. The Village at SouthPark recently opened adjacent to the Dillard’s store. The Village at SouthPark features Crate & Barrel, Design within Reach, and popular restaurants.
South Park offers an array of entertainment options and recreation, including casual and fine dining restaurants, movie theaters, and hotels. Symphony Park at SouthPark features live music from the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Movies Under the Stars and other seasonal events.
Residents of South Park attend Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, including South Mecklenburg High School and Myers Park High School.
